I found this article very interesting. This article talked about the generation of the young adults, including us, today. The article said that our generation makes up a whole lot of the population today, and that our generation has seemed to be a lazy generation. The largest indicator of laziness within our generation today is our addiction to social media and technology today. Our laziness however has lead to a whole generation non active in our country's politics. As of right now this generation does hold the largest population in the United States of America, meaning that our votes do matter and can affect the polls for our nation. However, this generation has fallen to believe that our votes do not matter, and that we can slack off and not participate in our country's elections. Contrary to belief our votes do matter, a lot actually, and could determine who may win the election.
I would say that I am not extremely involved in politics and issues in our country today. I usually know what is going on and I do recognize and identify the side on which I agree with, however I am not always the one who is the first to know about things going on, and I also do not voice my opinion as loud as others. I am too young to vote as of right now, but next presidential election I will be eligible and planning to vote. I would agree that I do fall in this generation's group of people. Identifying that I am lazy, however I do plan on voting and participating when I am eligible.
I also do agree with conclusions on how this generation does seem to be lazy and less involved compared to older and more experienced generations. However, I agree with that we are the future, so what we decide to do with our participation does matter.
